Rehan Badar is a Director with Audit New Zealand (Office of the Auditor General) and leads their Social Services, Arts, Culture and Heritage, and Environment portfolios. Rehan has extensive governance experience and is working with government, commercial and not-for-profit sectors including associations serving the Muslim community across New Zealand.
Rehan is an executive member of the Multicultural Council of Wellington and Trustee of Charity NZ. Rehan also sits on the member committee for Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
Being a son, brother, husband and father of two lovely daughters, Rehan is fully aware of the challenges faced by Muslim women in New Zealand and globally due to stereotypes laid upon them. Rehan’s focus is to promote KLN’s core values of Service, Balance, Inclusivity and Generosity and play his part in enhancing KLN’s recognition nationally and internationally, ultimately raising its profile with both the Muslim and wider community.
